At the beginning of your next upkeep, pay (2)(G)(G). If you don't, you lose the game.

The ability to pay mana later is powerful, and it is the only search card in Modern.It was always employed in titanshift as a padding for《Primeval Titan》and SB hate creatures.In general builds, two cards are used, and in builds that use many creatures from《Dryad of the Ilysian Grove》, three cards may be used.
It's also a 0 mana instant that can be used to gain storm in《Weather the Storm》, or to take care of《Force of Negation》and cast it on your opponent's upkeep to search for《Endurance》and then immediately cast it to destroy the 《Murktide Regent》route.
A list of effective uses of Summoner's Pact
《Summoner's Pact》is a classic card that has been around for 14 years, but recently two interesting builds have come out, so I decided to write about them. Let's take a look at them one by one.

First of all, KATABAMI2 won 29th place in the ModernChallenge on August 28, 2021.The main feature of this list is that it uses《Wish》for MB and《Summoner's Pact》for SB.This list also has《Summoner's Pact》in the SB, which can be read as a way to delay the game by casting《Courser of Kruphix》at 3~4turn.It makes sense, since burn was making a comeback in the Modern metagame at this time.In addition, the use of《Hour of Promise》makes the game more resistant to long range games and less likely to become a dull game.
It's more difficult to turn than I imagined, with complex land searches and the choice of when to cast《Summoner's Pact》.But it's a very creative and reasonable build that fits the metagame.(I practiced and it was definitely more difficult than any titanshift that has ever existed.)

Next, DELTHAR went 5-0 in the ModernLeague on September 28, 2021.There have always been builds that use only one《Obstinate Baloth》or 《Reclamation Sage》in MB to match the metagame.However, this is probably the first list to use such a large number of them.
Based on the results of recent tournaments, the following two archetypes have increased.
- Graveyard-based archetypes like CounterMonkey and JundSaga
- UW Control(Sunset Revelry's value increases as burn is reinstated.Memory Deluge is a better draw source.Medium speed in the metagame.These are the three reasons for its return.)
This is a build that attempts to support multiple archetypes by employing《Endurance》,《Klothys, God of Destiny》, and《Foundation Breaker》from MB.It breaks MB's stability a bit, but by understanding the metagame, it can lead to delays in game development and win the game.
Searching Creature Summary (Mana Value)
1 mana range
《Caustic Caterpillar》
Lightest Artifact/Enchantment destruction. You have to pay for it in installments, but it's an activated ability, so it doesn't get caught by《Torpor Orb》, which is an advantage.
《Jaddi Offshoot》
The lightest anti-burn life-gain tool and wall.It doesn't have《LightningBolt》resistance, but I personally like it a lot because it puts a lot of lands on the battlefield due to its structure, and it stops most creatures.
《Dryad Militant》
It would be useful if it could be installed early.It can interfere with《Murktide Regent》size increase, and it can also reduce your opponent's life to 18 points.It's an insanely cheap card, and there's a lot wrong with it when you look at it coolly.
2 mana range
《Masked Vandal》
An Artifact/Enchantment destroying creature that uses its Changeling ability to play in various formats.It's great that it works for only 2 mana, but I'm a little concerned that with titanshift, only 《Sakura-Tribe Elder》can actively go to the graveyard.
《Outland Liberator/Frenzied Trapbreaker》
With its activated ability to destroy Artifact/Enchantment and its power of 2, it can easily reduce your opponent's life to 18.When transformed, it has an effect like《Trygon Predator》, which is reassuring in a metagame with a lot of Artifact/Enchantment.
Since titanshift mostly works with Sorcery timing, it's easy to turn it from day to night.However, be aware that if Wish is adopted, Wish+Wishboard will move for a total of two cards, and the day will definitely change from night to day.
《Tajuru Preserver》
Effective against creatures with Annihilator and《Liliana of the Veil》.There are not many metagames in which it is useful, but the only similar card is《Sigarda, Host of Herons》, so you should keep it in mind.
《Scavenging Ooze》
An anti-graveyard creature that hasn't been prominent lately due to《Endurance》.It requires green mana to start a land search, but its size can be easily increased, making it useful for titanshift with few creatures.
《Vexing Shusher》
It's very useful because it can't be countered and its activated ability can make it impossible to counter.《Aether Gust》and《Subtlety》have reduced its value a bit, but it is still good for control.
《Skylasher》
Useful for surprise against blue decks.In the current metagame, it is effective against the following cards.

《Scryb Ranger》
This creature is similar to Skylasher, but the following three points make it even more dexterous.
- Resistant to land destruction

Remember that it has the same text as《Quirion Ranger》, so it can be activated on your opponent's turn.
《Collector Ouphe》
The versatility of a card that bans the activated ability of Artifact has been proven by Stony Silence.Effective for the following archetypes.

《Endurance》
It is an unavoidable power card when playing Modern, and a powerful graveyard countermeasure.Many people who use titanshift are not good at combat, including myself, so think carefully when using it.Effective for the following archetypes.
《Ramunap Excavator》
Modern is basically a fast-paced game, but as the metagame changes, the game periodically reverts to a slower-paced metagame.At that time, combo decks that use lands such as Tron and Titanshift, which are strong against fair decks, will increase, and Ponza and Sun and Moon will instantly become popular as counters to those decks.It is a little easier to adopt at that time(titanshift has an advantage over Ponza, though, so it's a personal preference).
《Courser of Kruphix》
With its sturdy 2/4 stats and lifegain, it will protect you from burn.However, since it forces you to reveal the top of your library, it can easily become a disadvantage when used in a metagame with many control decks, so be careful.
It is an Enchantment, so if you are about to be defeated, use《Nature's Claim》to get rid of it.If you are not sure if you want to use《Nature's Claim》or not, but if burn is in vogue, it will be easier to use two or three copies.
《Reclamation Sage》
In addition to destroying Artifact/Enchantment, it can also be used to reduce your opponent's life to 18 points, or be a deterrent to small creatures by making them block.《Torpor Orb》is in vogue, so it's a little hard to use now.
《Manglehorn》
Since the release of Collector Ouphe, its use has decreased, but its effect is still strong.You can expect a significant slowdown in Artifact-centric decks.It's a little heavy at 3 mana, so I'd like to employ it in a slower metagame.
《Runic Armasaur》
It is useful as a deterrent for fetchlands. It has a toughness of 5, so it is mostly used as a blocker without hitting the opponent.
《Tireless Tracker》
It is a great draw source and main clock in long range game development such as control.If you succeed in casting, set a land immediately to avoid giving priority to your opponent.Sometimes it is stronger than Emrakul.
《Heartwood Storyteller》
The lack of removal resistance is a concern, but the stats and effects are both excellent for control.You can force your opponent to remove it early, and if you successfully cast it, you have a very good chance of drawing one.
When you use it, make sure you have a list with more creatures such as《Dryad of the Ilysian Grove》to prevent your opponent from draw.
《Klothys, God of Destiny》
《Prismatic Ending》makes it less stable, but it's still good for exiling graveyard, damage, and life gain.Depending on the board situation, it may be better to deploy《Klothys, God of Destiny》rather than the creature, as it will slowly but surely take advantage.

《Foundation Breaker》
Note that titanshift is mostly used for evoke, so you need to use《Reclamation Sage》differently depending on the metagame.
《Thrun, the Last Troll》
It is uncounterable, Hexproof, and Regenerate, making it the strongest performance against control if cast successfully.It is powerless against 《Wrath of God》and《Damn》, so avoid it in metagames with a lot of Orzhov and Esper.
《Shifting Ceratops》
The good point is that it's protection blue, 《LightningBolt》resistant, and strong against 《Prismatic Ending》for 4 mana.If you give it Reach, it is strong against《Murktide Regent》, and if you give it Haste, it is easy to remove PWs, so it can be used on various boards.
《Obstinate Baloth》
With the advent of Weather the Storm, this card has recently lost a lot of its popularity.It has a big impact with 4 point life gain, and its 4/4 stat is a very good wall against burn.
It is often employed in multiple copies, so it can easily be used as the main clock for Gruul aggro in aggressive sideboards.
《Chameleon Colossus》
It's a valuable protection black, which is useful when《Death's Shadow》decks and Rakdos aggro are in vogue.When you're ready, pump it up and take out your opponent with a single blow.
